How it works on Socialknocks

1. Request your domain from the store's settings.
2. Add the DNS record shown to you at your domain provider.
3. Socialknocks checks your DNS. Until it points to us, your store stays on its normal Socialknocks link.
4. Once verified, HTTPS is issued automatically and your store loads on your domain.

Why a domain can't have HTTPS before DNS is verified

Certificate authorities only issue a certificate after proving you control the domain, which they do by checking that it points at our server. That is the same for every platform, so a pending domain stays on the normal link until your DNS record is in place. It is expected, not a fault.

Tips

• A subdomain like shop.yourbrand.com is easiest and keeps your main website untouched.
• DNS changes can take a while to spread, sometimes minutes, sometimes hours.
• Keep your domain registration renewed, since an expired domain takes your store offline.
• Use the same address on your QR codes and social bios.

The custom domain is an optional add-on, currently listed at $10 a month. The online store comes with paid plans, starting at $49 a month (Startup). You can create a free account to explore the platform first. Prices can change, so confirm on the Billing page.
